Specific rules for EU/EFTA states

Members of the voluntary OASI/DI residing in an EU member State

Those insured with the OASI/DI on a voluntary basis and who are residents of one of the following EU member States: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden may remain insured until March 31, 2007, at the latest. Those who were 50 years old before April 1, 2001, may remain insured until they reach legal retirement age.
New members are no longer admitted.


Those insured with the OASI/DI on a voluntary basis and who are residents of one of the following EU member States: Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Leetonia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic may remain insured until March 31, 2012, at the latest. Those who were 50 years old before April 1, 2006, may remain insured until they reach legal retirement age.

New members are no longer admitted.

 

Those insured with the OASI/DI on a voluntary basis and who are residents of Bulgary and Romania may remain insured until March 31, 2015, at the latest. Those who were 50 years old before June 1, 2009, may remain insured until they reach legal retirement age.

 

Those insured with the OASI/DI on a voluntary basis and who are residents of Croatia may remain insured until December 31, 2022, at the latest. Those who were 50 years old before January 1, 2017, may remain insured until they reach legal retirement age.

Members of the voluntary OASI/DI residing in an EFTA member State

Those insured with the OASI/DI on a voluntary basis and who are residents of EFTA member States could remain insured until May 31, 2008, only. Those who were 50 years old before June 1, 2002, could remain insured until they reached legal retirement age.
