Invitation to submit an idea: a symbol for the Area for the Swiss Abroad
The Area for the Swiss Abroad Foundation is looking for a striking, meaningful and permanent symbol to convey the spirit of the unique place in Brunnen by Lake Lucerne in an expressive and contemporary way. It might be unchanging or variable, physical or virtual, in two dimensions or three – anything is possible! The only condition is that the concept must be in keeping with conservation requirements and achievable at a reasonable cost.
Ideas are welcomed from both Swiss abroad and people living in Switzerland, particularly residents of the Brunnen region, as well as interested institutions inside and outside Switzerland. Entries may consist of keywords, detailed text, sketches or other illustrations, as long as they are in a form suitable for further development and realisation.
Ideas should be submitted by 31 March 2012 to brunnen@aso.ch or sent by post to “Auslandschweizerplatz, Postfach 1250, 6431 Schwyz, Switzerland”. Entries will be judged by a high-calibre jury led by National Councillor Christa Markwalder. The person who submits the best idea will win a free weekend at the Seehotel Waldstätterhof in Brunnen.
