What is the situation regarding the mobility of the Swiss Abroad today? What are their expectations and needs? Is the current mobility of the Swiss worldwide an opportunity – if not a necessity – for our country? How is this mobility developing? What direct impact does this mobility have on the perception of Switzerland abroad but also on its economy, culture, politics and even society in general?

Following the same line of thought, what role should the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA) play in the coming years in order to continue optimally meeting its four objectives – providing information, establishing connections, offering advice and protecting the interests of the Swiss Abroad?

The Congress conference on 6 August 2016 in Berne attempted to provide answers to these questions. Here are the live-stream recordings:

More generally, all of the events organised as part of the OSA's centenary – whether cultural, celebratory or scientific – should aim to draw the attention of as many people as possible, Swiss abroad and at home, to the importance to Switzerland of the international mobility of our fellow citizens.
