Over 746,000 Swiss citizens were living abroad as at 31 December 2014 according to statistics published today by the FDFA. More than 142,000 of them are registered on the electoral rolls with their commune so that they can exercise their political rights.

The famous pin badge, familiar to all Swiss people who celebrate the national day wherever they are in the world, has been produced by Pro Patria since 1923.
